Worked great for what I needed. Yes you can use cardboard but it will wet the gold and can break. Not a lot of money but it works well.

I used to use the cut out tissue box method but I enjoy using it. They are much lighter and thicker than a Kleenex box. They are great for standard 3.5" hinges around the home. Use them whenever you need to move part of the door a little to the opposite side.

Too thick for many doors. Sometimes 1 is not enough or even too much, sometimes 2 is too much but 1 is not enough. You're stuck too. So if you enter 2, it will jam even more. It would be nice if they made a flat one, about 1/32nd the thickness. I like how it's designed so you don't have to unscrew all the screws. For doors that looked good with just a seal, they were great and easy to use.

They reassured me as I wasn't sure I was comfortable with traditional pads. I propose one by one, boring, but I went to the rudeness and immediately added 3. They are easier to install than remove. 3 are molded together and can be easily taken apart. Be careful as they are fragile and can break if you are not careful. They are easy to trim if necessary. I used scraps to guide the door latches. It would be great if I could get this size in a darker color to match the hinges, but they are hard…

These washers are great for aligning new doors to old door frames. Over time the house may settle and/or the wooden door frames may warp. Before discovering these pre-made gaskets, I made my own out of brass gaskets. They have screw holes/slots to hold them in place when attaching the hinges to the door frame. You can crop them, move them in or out to adjust how much they move. They were much easier to adapt to requirements than using brass washers.

This is such a great product and it really works when you need to trim a door. So 5 stars for that. But my question is, who needs 36 of these? I had to fix a door: one of them worked. So I went around the house looking for other doors that could be fixed and used a different one. So now I have 34 of these and unless there is a big change happening in my house I will never use them. But I'm putting them on a tie "just in case". If we move and/or sell the house, I'll sell them at a flea market…

They were very helpful and did exactly what I needed. I replaced the old brass hinges from the 1970's with new oil rubbed bronze hinges. Even though the new hinges were exactly the same size (3 1/2" corners 1/4" radius) and fitted perfectly into the grooves on the door and door frame, my doors now didn't close properly.
