Great deal for the price

Spent several hours cutting and sanding. The only complaint is that it's a bit out of round, meaning part of the edge hits more than the rest, making it a bit rough. I had to grind down some thin welds on sheet metal and it worked great. I have mainly worked with stainless steel, which is very wear-resistant and can heat up very quickly; it has held up well and keeps the stainless steel cooler. Just remember that the cut (kerf) is not as thin as with .040" blades, which also wear as they cut.

Metal parts hurt and don't cut easily

I've bought several different types of these cutting discs and there are some fantastic reasons why regular discs are still popular. cut circles. They slice much faster and don't throw deadly shards at you! Every time you cut them, you better put on a full outfit! Face mask, goggles, gloves and long sleeve shirt. Otherwise, be prepared for painful shotgun bullets to come flying at you. But if you're like me, all you usually have to do is cut something quickly and the points will do. Oh, and…

Cons
  • Not bad but...

Great for about 15 cuts, then it's slower than molasses.

I saw this and cut off the longevity claim for 5000 and figured it out for the price it was a lot. I have never used a diamond cutting wheel until now but I probably won't do it again, it will most likely last up to 5000 cuts but it wears out very quickly and after about 15-20 cuts it's about 3 times as long. slow as a grinding wheel and seems to be getting worse. For the price it's definitely worth it if you're only using it for a small project, but I don't see myself buying more in the future
