The only sound you hear is air movement and they are very quiet compared to standard case fans and most. No, it's not PWM, but it's not necessary. Good fans in terms of quality and sound but I have ordered 2 sets and cannot sync the remotes. The fans freeze all the time by default and no matter how hard I try, I can't sync the remote to be able to change colors or effects. You can return one uninstalled set and discard the other. It's frustrating to expect that I'm in control of the fans and not.

These fans work great. I run all 5 in the Fractal Design Meshify C case. The only negative opinion I have of them is the lack of airflow direction markings. All installed, had to turn everything over because they were upside down. Also one of the best values among the inexpensive RGB fans. I recommend them.

While they don't push much air, they move enough, they look great, and you can get 10 of these fans for half the price of three Corsair fans. Put them anywhere on my 011 Dynamic XL and have had no problems in the 4 months of use.
