From Fozen to Dinner

This item works as advertised. However, I've found that I really have to guess how long it's going to take to cook something. I've overdone it with a few things and it makes it very dry - like chicken breasts. You'll have to experiment a little to shorten the time. I like the fact that he's cooking something frozen solid and as long as it's not overcooked it tastes great. Of course, it's easier to cook food if I forgot to defrost something beforehand. It's easy to use and clean, plus I really…

used almost every day

Bought 1.5 years ago, used almost every day, my husband cooked steaks in it at the weekend, I would cook chicken breasts and reheat something badly heated in a microwave (e.g. leftover pizza). ). The lightbulb just stopped working yesterday. The fan was still running, but without heat, what's the point? Since we're past the warranty period, it's just rubbish now. In my opinion the design should protect the halogen bulb better, perhaps encasing it in a round glass that fits over it so it doesn't

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Suitable for instant cooking

After my first turbo cooker, the Galloping Gourmet, died after ten years of use, I decided to try this Fagor Halogen. I'm currently using it to make Frozen Spicy Wings (by Tyson) and Frozen Fish. So far, so good. It took me a while to get used to the bright (halogen) light from Fagor, but once I got the hang of it, it worked just like my first Galloping Gourmet. I missed the ease of quick cooking and easy cleanup. Just try wiping/cleaning any grease that may be spurting from your hot wings (or…

Serious malfunction!

After about 5 months the upper heating element "melted"! The smell of burning plastic spread all over the floor! There doesn't seem to be an easy way to request a replacement or refund either, as Revain's return policy only lasts for 30 days. Now I have to spend the possible hours thinking of a way to find a solution, if at all possible. I'm also not happy about having to throw out a whole roast beef, probably for fear of smoking, plastic meltdowns, harmful carcinogens. it's not good for meat…

Pros
  • Outstanding design
Cons
  • No paint required

Used daily for 10 weeks

Okay, I bought this thing about 10 weeks ago and use it almost every day. Here's the shovel. He cooks meat like a dream. I've cooked pork steaks, roast beef, roast pork, chicken quarters, whole chickens and french fries in it. Everything is crispy on the outside and juicy and tender on the inside. Once I tried to cook sauce for spaghetti, and the other for stew. Doesn't work, worth the crap for it. It's also pointless trying to use both grates at the same time, with one layer of food on the top
