📻 Optimized Falcon 2 Meter Dipole Ham Radio Antenna for Amateur Radio Enthusiasts Review

I connected this antenna to my Yaesu VX3 pocket computer and the difference was day and night! The antenna is small and powerful enough to be used for hiking etc and its performance exceeded my expectations. Highly recommended.

Beautiful 2 megapixel dipole! Good quality details. TX and RX are ok. It's been hanging out in the elements for about 3 or 4 months now and no problems so far! Delivery took a while but it was worth the wait!

The delivery was fast for me. Goods correspond to the description. That is, it is not a tuned antenna for 2 meters. You need to snip off the ends (no returns after that) and start adding/cutting the wire to get it into the correct strip (2 meters, I cut 10 inches total). Out of the box it seems to work fine on 440. Maybe they just mislabeled it.

wow i was surprised after the 11 meter version worked so badly this 2 meter antenna worked so well i even hung it over a closet door and it still repeaters hit at 30 miles in the house. turned it sideways and got 2 meters ssb like no tomorrow. It was great to be surprised by a good product at a good price.

As mentioned in some other reviews, the antenna initially showed an SWR of 4:1 to 6:1 at 2 meters. However, the ends were not soldered like in other cases, so it was quite easy to open the ends. After measurements it turned out that the wires are longer than 1/2 meter. I had to snip a good 5 inches off either side before it showed a good SWR range of 1.5:1 at 144, 1.35:1 at 145.1 and back to 1.5:1 at 147. This is an amazing little dipole, I installed it under the trees and on deck to really test it and it worked very well. I have two 2m repeaters that I can hit from home at 10.6 and 10.7 miles with my Baofeng UV-5R paired with a Nagoya NA-771, but sometimes I can't. This dipole made that clear. This antenna is fine until you try to transmit on 2m HAM (144-148MHz). At 2 meters the SWR goes off scale. approx. 8:1 at 146,000 MHz (mid-band). I measured the elements and each was 17 inches long.
