Disappointed, lasted less than a year.

The pot was ordered from Revain 11 months ago. When we first received the pot, we were thrilled. The taste is great and worked great with very hot coffee. Then, after about 9 months, the taste of the coffee started to fade. We increased the number of grinds. Didn't help, tastes like slop! As an engineer, I wanted to solve this problem. I found dirt clogging the slots so I bought basket filters. Do not go. I found that the water would not flow through the basket fast enough, so I voluntarily…

Not as well made as before - lid wouldn't close and coffee was weak

I wish I would give this unit a 5 star rating just because we have had this particular model in the past. However, the lid would not close, so it lifted from one side or the other when pressed down. However, I could live with that problem if the coffee was good, but no matter what we tried, the coffee was weak every time. I'm not sure if these issues are related, but we have decided to return this product. From other reviews I read before buying this product is not as well made as it was 5…

Loud but brews well

This is the second Farberware Percolator I have bought in the last 1.5 years. The first lasted so long, then was replaced with the same one. It is suitable for brewing coffee and my family prefers plastic coffee makers like Mr. Coffee. This one is LOUD. It makes a loud, explosive popping sound during the brewing process. The first developed a loud noise after about six months. If noise doesn't bother you, this coffee pot is for you. Both pots were equipped with electrical plugs that fit so…

I got used to delicious whipped coffee years ago and the Farberware electric coffee maker has lasted 30 years and has been amazing. I tried a drip coffee maker when they first came out and god I didn't even come close to the delicious coffee that comes in Farberware. Yes, it was expensive, but worth the price, shelf life, and coffee flavor. When US companies started making their stuff overseas (cheap labor) my second purchase was fine at first since the US parts were used, but now I'm afraid to

Fast, well-brewed coffee pot

I used Farberware coffee pots with electric coffee makers 20 and 30 years ago. I then switched to Cuisinart drippers, all of which degraded due to the use of a rinse cycle along with the brewing process, which increased the brewing time and concentrated the coffee. I just had enough of Cuisinart last week and ordered a Farberware 10-12 cup coffee maker. First, it's made in China, which means the coffee pot is made of much thinner metal than it was 20-30 years ago. The black parts are also…
