Good product. for knife sets

Great knife! I eat a lot of roasts, so I always cut up vegetables. This knife is perfect. and comfortable. on old, worn out, damaged hands.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for the elderly

The paint on the blades is peeling off - not safe to use

When I received the knives I washed them and then the paint/paint on the blades immediately started peeling - the whole sink was red! Because the blades will skip paint, it's not safe to use these knives for food (or anything at all).

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • Safety

Worth Every Penny: Boxed Knife Sets

These knives are sharp and well made - the colors are vibrant and very pleasing to the eye. I would recommend it to anyone who loves quality products that add color to their kitchen. UpdateColour is starting to flake off the knives so much I have to leave - as I found some flakes of color in food - so I would. Do not consider these knives a safe product as the paint will peel off and get into your food.

  • Well Made

Surprisingly not sharp

Knives are comfortable to hold and have a pleasant weight. The handles are comfortable and have a good grip. The blade guard holds the blade well. The edges are surprisingly not sharp. In particular, the sharpening angle is too large. Slicing the watermelon was difficult enough that I switched to my other chef's knife. It was dangerous to stick the knife further into the shell. The jagged edge is also a sharp angle that makes a straight cut difficult. A paring knife fits like a knife, but again

Budget knife, does not sharpen all the time

These are budget knives. They are designed to wear out. Also Known As: College use, multiple roommates, community kitchen, etc. After regrinding these knives, I found that they don't hold the blade well and are therefore dangerous if they slip while cutting food. I personally wouldn't use these knives for everyday use and have since moved on to higher quality knives. With the best knives, I'm not afraid to trim a chicken, dice an onion, or slice a pineapple. Spend less time and energy slicing…

Knife set DANGEROUS

I wanted to love these knives, I really did. Love the colors, they are very crisp, affordable, easy to clean etc etc. However, there is one fatal design flaw with the purple chef's knife. The blade inserts about 1/4 inch further into the handle than shown in the Revain product photos, leaving the sharp edge a little further back than you would expect from a guard. It may not sound like much, but it's enough to cut you badly if you're not extremely vigilant when handling your knife. a piece of…

3 stars. This is AMAZING for a six dollar knife

I have expensive cutlery from Shun, Wüsthof, Chicago Cutlery, etc. They are nice and pretty to look at, but Shun needs special care and none of them should be dishwasher safe. I got sick, hand washed them and thought I'd get a very cheap knife to abuse and use and an equally cheap hand sharpener like this: https://smile.amazon.com/KitchenIQ-50009-Stage -Knife- Sharpener/dp/B01FVW3DUA/ ref=psdc_289867_t1_B08CKJ24SK?th=1BOY was surprised at how well this combination worked. Before each use, run…

Soft on one side, sharp on the other

This knife is amazingly sharp! I bought this knife primarily for its non-stick polymer coating and soft blue color. If Pure Komachi had this color on a 5 inch Santoku blade, I would never have thought of this knife. But I'm glad I did! At first glance (no pun intended) this bad boy is razor sharp. I slice raw corn on the cob (still wrapped in leaves) like butter! Okay, maybe not that easy, but I'd say easier than slicing cucumbers with my other santoku knives. And it's a lot sharper than what…

Pros
  • Easy to assemble
