Best screw I have ever used

I first used these screws a few years ago when making a raised light box in our kitchen. To be honest I was blown away by the holding power they have. The big head is great, no washer required. I still drill pilot holes because I think the wood is better for less splitting. I've just started building folding workbenches for my garage to use to attach brackets to wall studs. By re-drilling the pilot holes, these screws dig in and are strongly tightened. I have to be careful that they don't bend…

Excellent The best product in the range of wood screws

I'm glad I saw the reviews of these screws on some woodworking sites and decided to buy them. I used them to create a large workbench (joining 4x4 and 2x4). It's a lot easier than the traditional hex head bolts or carriage bolts I've used in the past. Although they say a pilot hole is not required, I have found that they are so aggressive when drilling that they can/will split wood if set too close to the edge. Pilot holes eliminated this problem. I've had several different uses for these HeadLOK screws. One use was for trimming and another for stair repair. These screws worked well in both situations.
