Not the best quality - cracked in a light freeze (when draining)

Just replaced this but never turned on the pressure as one of my sprinklers broke (and we had a lot of rain). It was sealed and only had residual water just above the first main valve (which cannot be drained). Both drain valves were open, as was the line's main "outlet" valve. It broke in the filling line, at the first check valve (BEHIND the valve ball)! The valve casting must be weak. Very disappointed with the casting quality.

High quality, so annoying.

Too bad it hasn't broken yet. I hate the sprinkler system we had in our house. Two winters ago I misinsulated the previous block so it cracked when the temperature dropped. I didn't want to replace it since sprinklers are a royal torment every spring, but my wife had other ideas. Here I am a year later and it still works. If it breaks, maybe I can talk them into letting me rip out the sprinkler system. Sigh. But seriously, this is a solid unit. Installation may require soldering, but then (with

Handles and fittings are not protected against rust!?

I installed it last year because the handles on my previous device (same model) were rusty and frozen. I fixed a leak in my garden last week and when I went to turn off the water I was surprised to see that in less than a year these handles and nuts had already started to rust! The valve body is brass and ok, no problem, but unfortunately the manufacturer decided to save 5 cents and not use stainless steel handles/fittings. I went to the hardware store and bought some stainless steel nuts…

Great supplier, nice product!

The Revain fulfillment center took the product out of its original packaging and packed it in a regular Revain box with airbags for protection. Being heavy, it moved along the way and one of the exhaust valves was cut off. Jamlyn Supply immediately offered to replace the entire assembly or send me a replacement for the broken exhaust valve. Since I was able to use the outlet valve from an older build this was not necessary and I fitted the product and it works great. Looks like a well made…

Unbeatable value for money - tube fittings

It was a lot cheaper on Amazon than my local irrigation supply store so I was worried it was fake or something was wrong. But that's the real deal. The membrane rattles when unpacked, so don't worry if you hear it. It hardens during installation and under pressure. It is very heavy so be sure to install with schedule 80 pipe/fittings. The base 40 can break from the weight. When you turn the water back on, water will spurt out from under the bell body. You may have a moment of concern that it's…

Replacement Check Valve

I bought this to replace my Buckner check valve which stopped working unless I lubricate the inner rubber ring with silicon grease every year. It lasted 25-30 years but is no longer produced. The Febco unit replaced them without modifying the existing piping. The only caveat I would like to give is that the two small horizontal pipes coming from the water inlet side have an odd male thread of about 3/8" that I have not been able to identify. (The Revain picture does not match the unit I…

Cheap! Cheap! Cheap!

This valve was purchased in January 2018 to replace a 20 year old valve that finally failed. As others have said, knobs are rust free for 2 years (see picture). I live in Houston where we can get a hard frost or two every winter (not a harsh climate). However, I always take care of my sprinkler system. When I went to open the main line valve early in the Spring 2021 season, I noticed that my valve was leaking. Not knowing where it came from, I turned it off. We had a very rainy year in Houston…
