🔧 Fel-Pro 61070 Gasket for Throttle Body Mounting Review

Perfect fit for my Silverado 02 4.8. The only difference is that the picture shows red and I got blue. The color doesn't matter at all but I thought I shared thta. Replaced the gasket, disassembled the inlet and replaced the pan gasket.

I had no installation problems when replacing the throttle body on my 03 GMC Sierra SLT 5.3L. He had a problem with reduced engine power. After replacing the throttle body, this problem went away. A really annoying problem. Now I have to get a new starter. Spring.

Throttle body gasket for GM vehicles (make sure it is the correct PN). Do not drop the lower throttle body bolt on your Vortec. If you remove the throttle body, you can end up with a big mess. I removed the throttle body coolant hoses and they were leaking everywhere. Have someone support or tie them up so they don't lose a gallon of coolant like I did - 2002 Suburban 1500 5.3.

I wasn't sure I needed this when I replaced the throttle body. Well, the original was broken too flat to be reused. This gasket fits as it should, resealed. I could have problems then or in the future if I try to reuse a 12 year old pad. No problem. So, for peace of mind and not to delay completing the repair or having to remove and reinstall the TV to replace the gasket, get one of these.

I ordered this product and checked the car beforehand and when I received the product it does not fit. Very disappointed. So now I'm stuck and lost the purchase price because it would be too much hassle to send it back. Just FYI if anyone wants to order one of these for a 2003 Chevy Silverado with a 5.3L engine. It will not work. Don't waste your time and money even if they say they fit your car because they don't.
