Well done. in Seals

So far, so good. Quality is better than OEM. I've got about 2000 miles on the car since the switch including 3 autocrosses.

Pros
  • Build quality
Cons
  • New competitors have appeared

Good price for a rear main oil seal

Rear main oil seal which worked great in my 1991 Miata. If you take the time to replace the clutch, replace this gasket as well.

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • replacement available

Great print! As expected from a Fel-Pro

The rear oil seal fits my Miata 91 perfectly and sits tight on the rear crank. It is identical if not better than the OEM part. I haven't messed with the gasket, however, but so far I have no leaks or oil level issues to mention.

Pros
  • Nice little thing
Cons
  • Weight

Fail pro, I hate you.

All of my Fail-Pro seals are leaking. I can't trust these guys anymore. First the valve cover gasket. Now I'm starting to realize that the rear mainshaft seal that I just replaced while working on the clutch is also leaking. I think my cam seals are leaking too, which is also a bug. Stay away from these guys. Your stuff just leaks because tolerance is wrong.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Low maintenance

Excellent seal, works as expected from Felpro

Works as it should. Came in fairly easily on a 2002 Miata 1.8. I was in the middle of a clutch job and decided I didn't want to take the transmission out again if the fitted seal ever failed, so I bought this as preventative maintenance. I chose not to replace this thing as Mazda says by removing the entire oil pan and such. Instead, I simply took two coarse-threaded drywall screws, drilled very small holes (WARNING!) on either side of the old gasket, and carefully threaded the screws into…

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • weak
