been looking for this kit for a long time

have not used this kit yet but it is what we need for our subaru and it is a lot cheaper than parts stores. But where we live, they couldn't get them at the parts store. thanks amazon.com

This gasket kit is a perfect fit for 2

This gasket kit is a perfect match for the 2.5 liter DOHC in my 1998 Subaru. I had all the gaskets I needed to change the heads on my engine plus many more gaskets. I've driven the engine about 5000 miles since I've had no problems since the overhaul.

Great offer! in spares

This is a bargain for all the gaskets I received. I had to do the head gaskets of course and while I was at it I lapped my valves and pretty much replaced all the head gaskets. The kit I received from Amazon included two pads on the driver's side, but they quickly rectified the situation.

Everything else was perfect! It wasn't the Revains' fault, but it should have been them.

I didn't realize that you have to look at the engine serial number before ordering. I ended up choosing the wrong valve cover gaskets, which cost me another $57 at my local auto parts store. Everything else was perfect! It's not Revains fault, but they should be more specific when they say they will fit your car! This was my first encounter with a Subaru engine and I will be buying again, this time I will make sure they fit!

Complete Kit - Head Gasket Sets

Bought for my '98 Forester DOHC. The six digit serial number they ask for is stamped on the head - you can see it if you clean the head a bit while the engine is still fully assembled and still in the car. Contains all the pads you need and many you don't. I definitely recommend this - I researched for about 2 weeks before pulling the trigger. The difference between this part number (PT2) and the PT1 kit is mainly the valve cover gaskets. Get the right set and don't just guess!

Updated MLS Head Gaskets, Repeat Buyer

This is the second set of Fel-Pro head gaskets I've bought for Subaru engines and they both work great to this day. This includes MLS head gaskets which are the updated type you need. I did a full HG replacement and that included all the gaskets I needed plus a few I didn't need. Anyone who works with or near a Subaru knows that head gaskets need to be changed every 150,000 (+/- 30,000) miles and I have been very happy with this set TWICE (different cars of course).
