Tabs make installing gaskets easier after the damn exhaust manifold bolts are put back into the heads, making it easier not to mess with gasket alignment.

I've used Edelbrock gaskets on my 1970 Chevelle for a couple of years and they keep blowing so I decided to try something new and found these I only had them for one Been at it a few weeks but it's longer than the last 2-3 sets of Edelbrock pads so I'm happy

Gasket preparation and installation instructions included. The old gasket I had in my Suburban 85 K10 was very similar and has been there since 2000. The previous gasket only failed when the manifold bolt loosened and fell out.

These are really good pads, very thick and strong. They are very easy to assemble - they are designed in such a way that you do not have to unscrew the manifold/header bolts in competition. You simply loosen the bolts, pull the manifold(s) slightly away from the heads and drop the gaskets!

Bought these for my 350 SBC mid 70's and they worked straight away. There's no need to completely remove the exhaust manifold - just loosen it enough to remove the old one and put these guys in. However, this additional "hook" is on two parts. I didn't need it, so I turned it inward.

I used them between my boat engine (small Chevy block) and water cooled exhaust manifolds. These water-cooled headers are HEAVY! About £70 per person. The couple holding them in place and trying to get the bolts through the manifold was a big problem! These pads made the job easier! Secure the manifold but do not tighten the screws.
