Leaking Gasket Replaces

The valve cover gasket on my 1996 Nissan Pickup has been leaking for months. I tried tightening the fasteners holding the valve cover but after a while the leak persisted. This OEM replacement gasket did the trick. The leak has been fixed and now there is no smell of burned oil, no clouds of smoke under the hood. Wonderful!

Nissan KA24E on valve cover and stem

I purchased this as part of a 2 step repair to stop valve cover leaks and eliminate timing chain noise. If you are buying this for your Nissan KA24E, search mr1jim on You Tube for his timing chain tensioner repair modification. Mine used to make a bucket of screws. After singing like a kitten, she walked at best a lot better. Pay attention to how the crescents are inserted, take photos before removing them. Put a good sealant on it and let it dry COMPLETELY before starting the engine. Follow…
