Excellent mid-range meter

Of course you can spend more money for slightly better quality, but that makes a lot of good. You get a solid set of features for a reasonable price.

Pros
  • Still satisfied
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Cannot test volts/amps at the same time

Didn't know voltage sensors had to be removed to check current draw. I wish I had read more carefully. I can actually buy another one better than returning this uncomfortable POS

Pros
  • Stable test results
Cons
  • Repair

Best meter for HVAC

By far my favorite meter. If you're in the HVAC industry, there's nothing better. Love the thermometer, amp claw, capacitor test, ohms, ac and dc. I have been using this counter for over sixteen years and I recommend it to everyone. Also very battery friendly.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Little things

not what I was hoping for

bought for a trade school. I think enough and thin profile. However, it doesn't measure the millivolts or microamps used in some HVAC applications and will be upgraded to something auto-ranging. I've seen other students buy good leeches for almost the same price. but it might be worth it if you already have hats

Pros
  • price
Cons
  • the packaging is ugly

Works perfectly. I'm an HVAC technician and my old .

Works great. I'm an HVAC technician and my old meter broke. It has everything I need and the price is very reasonable. I highly recommend this meter. It doesn't have an LED-backlit display and I find the shoulder strap a bit short for the case. In terms of performance, the meter is accurate and works as it should.

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Not sure

Don't buy if you need a backlight.

I like that the meter can be adapted for use with other instruments, although they may be expensive. The quality is good, but the settings take some getting used to. I'd rather not unplug the cables every time I need to use the amp clamp and the magnet is very weak. My biggest concern is using this unit in a dark kitchen or laundry room with no lights.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Upgradable

Great meter but wrong meter for me.

I like it but had to return it because I thought I ordered the HS35 which runs microamps for diodes, flame sensors and more. Somehow the order got replaced which sucks because I'm going without service next week. Frustration aside, this is an expensive and extremely capable multimeter that won't let you down. Feel free to spend your hard-earned cash on Fieldpiece. I would recommend that you look at the HS35 and even the backlit HS36 before settling on the HS33. Have fun ranking, gentlemen.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • No automatic

Matches best Fluke UEI Small

Loved the Fieldpiece product, the quality and the brand. This gauge is very loud, if you like speed and functionality everything around this gauge is definitely worth the money, I promise you can't go wrong. **** It is highly recommended that you bring something electronic, batteries will be taken, bad weather may cause the calibration to fail or the meter itself to not work properly. The only thing I don't like is that it's a very long design with or without a clip, my UEI meter was smaller…

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Long delivery time
