Great for winter, helps save energy

An energy audit team that visited us last fall recommended this MERV/MPR furnace filter. They said this prevents the oven from overheating, which saves energy. I used one of the more expensive high end filters thinking it would make the air cleaner but decided to give them a try in the winter. They have worked great and the savings are real. well suited for a small house/apartment with lots of pets

I have pets - birds, cats, a dog and a turtle (although the turtle isn't very dirty). My home stove and air conditioner are often abused by the extra dust, hair, and dander from my pets. Selecting the right air filter for our Trane XV-95/16i HVAC system was a challenge, partly due to disagreements between individual HVAC companies.
