🧜 Mermaid Monofin - Fin Fun Swim Fin for Kids and Adults: Boost Your Aquatic Adventure! Review

My 10 year old daughter couldn't wait to get this. She was so excited and saved money for it. However, we were disappointed that it broke after only 1 swim! We bought this (Fin Fun) because the reviews loved it. Perhaps ours was defective (?), but unfortunately we returned it for such a high price.

Bought for my daughter this summer. Take it in the summer before you write a review so I can really test it. It's actually quite difficult to use. My daughter used it a bit, eventually he just found it no longer functional and got fed up with it. I wouldn't recommend it to my friends, I just think it doesn't live up to its value.

Just received it today and tried it in my lap pool. After ONE use, about an hour in total, the stitching around one of the ankle supports is already unraveling, leaving a hole in the fabric. I worry that if I take it swimming again it will break down even more and just fall apart around my ankles while swimming. Don't feel safe with this product anymore. I wanted to be a mermaid too!

This would get 5 stars if they made the tips with some kind of rubber coating on them instead of getting the sticky covers the not stay super great and cost more money to buy. You MUST have a bait cover, even if your child is cautious about swimming in a pool with no rough bottom. No matter how well it's cared for, the tips WILL be rubbed into it.

Great fin! I love swimming in it. ATTENTION: Only for strong swimmers. Unless you are already a strong swimmer, this is not recommended for an average or below average swimmer. You should be able to hold your breath for the 15 to 20 seconds it takes to swim and be comfortable swimming UNDER the surface of the water, not above it. The supplied safety instructions are absolutely correct! Before attempting this, make sure you can swim the entire length of an Olympic pool and do a breaststroke.

Excellent product! Only rated 4 stars because it was too small for my foot (size 44) but my kids (size 10) could put it on with no problem. They can move throughout the pool, only limited by their ability to hold their breath. The first few moves were a problem and resulted in a lot of "whale failures," but they managed. I have worn a monofin for exactly 3 weeks, a total of 6 times. To answer all the reviews saying you can't fit in this thing with your adult feet - you can, but it certainly isn't easy. We really like these fins! It really makes my two daughters and my niece look like real mermaids. I was surprised how easy it was for her to swim in it. They are 9, 11 and 12 years old and not professional swimmers or anything. You could swim right away! Get this monofin and matching FIn Fun tails.
