Didn't work for tools and equipment

Installed a lot of junk from their CDs on my computer but nothing helped. Later I tried software from the internet but it was not recognized by the computer. A lot of time wasted.

Worked well as I had hoped.

Worked great with an old XP laptop. Install Java (JRE) first. I was unable to install an interface driver on Windows 10 64-bit in the short time I spent.

I used this cable for a battery repair on my 2005.

Used this cable to repair the battery on my 2005 Toyota Prius. With this cable and the software that came with it, we were able to diagnose the problem before we even got to work. It also helped us determine which specific battery modules failed.

Does what it's supposed to do

This worked really well to connect Toyota Techstream on my PC to my wife's 2008 Highlander. Toyota recommends a much more expensive cable, but this worked great, with no connection issues, and at a fraction of the price. I've read other reviews from people who had problems with a 64-bit system, but I'm using it on Windows 7 Enterprise 32-bit.

Let the seller install the software

Comes with an installation CD which was unusable as it was physically damaged. In any case, when installing on a computer with 64-bit Windows, you will need the help of a vendor. I granted it remote access, but it still took two sessions of 30+ minutes each to complete the installation. Note that video and web software is provided, however the video is in an unsupported format and the software requires advanced programming skills. It also provides a YouTube link without sound.
