I think it's fake.

I think it's fake. The back says it warns of smoke, but it's a carbon monoxide detector. The brand on the packaging is different from the product. The label on the back of the product says it is AC 120V but it is a battery operated model.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Easy maintainability

Received "old " alarms, had to send back

I ordered 3 detectors but unfortunately I had to send them back before I could install them. The blocks I received were made over a year ago; the life expectancy of CO alarms is 7 years, i would have lost a full year of use by then.

Simplicity and affordable price

Easy to install and great price. I rate 5 stars for ACCURACY, when in doubt. Our house hasn't burned down yet, but we'll be sure to let you know when it does. Well, if they're not correct, then of course I can't tell you ๐Ÿฅบ

First Alert CO511B Wireless Carbon Monoxide Alarms work perfectly.

I thought it would be difficult to connect two alarm clocks, but it turned out to be relatively easy. Setting the alarm location just got easier. I only have two minor complaints about the product: a) The ready light blinks dimly once a minute instead of being on steadily. If you don't want to use the test button, you'll have to stand and wait. b) As I live in a small 3 story house the location voice alarm is VERY loud which probably isn't a bad thing but it also startled the neighbors when Iโ€ฆ

So far so good.: Fire safety

This CO monitor has replaced the older OneLink smoke/CO combo unit. Unintentionally placed next to the bathroom in the hallway, the old device was prone to false alarms from steam. Apparently the carbon monoxide detector isn't working. Existing smoke detectors in adjoining bedrooms make up for the lack of detection. The new device connected properly to the other OneLink devices in the house, so I'm happy. I hope I never get a really positive detection alert that would deserve a 5 star ratingโ€ฆ

  • Only available in black

Call 24 hours a day Attention customers!

If you are using a Ring Smoke/Carbon Monoxide Hearing Aid: According to First Alert Customer Service, this device can only say the word "Carbon Monoxide" and then display the corresponding location in the connected room . So if your smoke alarm in the kitchen goes off and your carbon monoxide device is in your living room by the fireplace, the carbon monoxide device will say "Carbon monoxide detected in kitchen" with the appropriate carbon monoxide alarm tones. Normally this would just be anโ€ฆ
