Type of review

Slippery and difficult to use as the stitching is tight so I can't tell if I'm on the fabric or not. And I have the hardest time using 7 1/2 inch line because the orange area is distracting and confusing. I would not recommend it. Should have come back, but until recently I didn't really appreciate complexity. I bought it some time ago. back and used my old brand which is easier to read, nicknames and all.

Ruler 8.5 x 8.5

Excellent quilt block ruler. The grid is clearly visible and the center point is well marked. I used this ruler when making a patchwork quilt and it was necessary for the strip to be exactly 8.5 squares long. I thought I had all the necessary rulers, but then it turned out that I used this ruler a lot. I like to quilt with it. As with any line, the destination justifies the price. The new version of this product does not meet my needs

I have been using a previous version of this Fiskars 8.5x8.5 range for a long time. This helps me to make very precise cuts in the tissue. After prolonged use, the black lines on the ruler will begin to wear off. For $10, replacing that line every 5 years is fine. However. The new version of this Fiskars 8.5 x 8.5 line has white guard lines on the underside that hide the fabric underneath the black lines of customs markings, meaning the cuts are less accurate on the new version of this line.
