Not what I expected. There was no attachment to the mirror, just a mirror with some sort of tape to stick it on. returned it.

Had to send it back because it wouldn't snap into place. I don't think it's a defect, maybe just the whole assembly needs replacing, but I sent it back and got a full refund.

Hooked this up to my 2014 VW Passat and it was on for maybe 10 days before I went to wash the car and it just fell off. All you have to do is buy the original part from the dealer.

Arrived as promised - well packaged. Wonder of wonders: the instructions were in clear, understandable English - you could read it without a magnifying glass. The installation took less than a minute, i. H. I waited a week to make sure it doesn't fall off. It looks/functions just like the original.

Mirror and backplate match exactly what they are replacing. If you have heated mirrors there are 2 wires connected to the back of the glass that you will need to remove and reconnect to the new mirror. I don't need heated mirrors so I just taped the ends of the wires. The back plate is very tight and I had to press hard on the center of the mirror to "lock" it in place and I had a feeling it was about to break (but it didn't).
