Quality issues best in spares

I was happy to get this product because it seemed to me a good and quick replacement for a broken mirror. Not sure if I got a bad mirror, but the one I got was bent so the tape wasn't securely attached to the base of the old mirror and the new one. I'm disappointed that the mirror I received wasn't flat which might solve all the problems.

Quality mirror with a perfect fit

My mirror only had a horizontal tear down the middle so instead of removing the old one I wiped it down with alcohol and then just took two strips of the supplied double sided tape and glued a new one on it. The tape stuck well and the new mirror feels very secure. The whole operation took about five minutes and now my rear vision is crystal clear.

cheap solution with some welding equity

the new mirror worked great. but it depends on you breaking out the old mirror. You will need a long-sleeved shirt and goggles. You'll get about a thousand shards of glass in your hands, feet, face. And your driveway will shine for a month; ) In general, a mirror that works and saves a few hundred dollars. But how painful it is to break out of the old. Advice. Don't break out the old mirror. Just clean it thoroughly and place the new mirror directly on top of the cracked one.

Tape the window!

Just a fair warning. Wear gloves and safety glasses when removing the old mirror. Also, I don't recommend hitting an old mirror with a hammer, as the instructions say. That only made it harder to remove the tiny bits where the hammer head hit. Take a screwdriver and start prying. APPLY TAPE to the window seal, parts of the mirror being removed may catch in the window seal and scratch the window when lowered. An easy and fairly quick DIY project. The distance is the longest and most difficult…

Glass itself and installation was easy

I was thrilled when I found them. Our mechanic wanted to charge me $300 for a mirror to replace a broken side mirror with hail damage. When I found them I really didn't expect them to be of amazing quality because the price was pretty reasonable. However, when I received them, I found that they are actually glass and fit like a charm. They come with their own adhesive for attaching and are very easy to align and install. I've been wearing them on my Yukon for a little over a month now and they…

Pros
  • great product
Cons
  • A few minor things

I actually had a heated mirror and was unaware of it which made my installation very difficult (obviously not the seller's fault). The instructions state that if your mirror just cracked, you simply install it over the broken one. I strongly recommend following this advice. Removing an old mirror is tricky (I used a heat gun to soften the glue a bit). Then use glue on glue, who knows if it will work in the long run. I went ahead and used this as a temporary fix, but bought a replacement mirror…

Good quality but not enough stickers to fit properly

The product is good overall (looks like a Chinese made commercial product) but once applied it looks very good and gives the desired result . I didn't like that it was glued to the box on the back with a "thick" sticker. After removing the mirror, there is still a thick sponge sticker on the back of the mirror! I tried to remove it and it took a lot of time and effort and unfortunately rough cleaning damaged the mirror! If you try to remove the sticker, use a soft sponge or cloth and be very…
