1 bit only, used 1 time. So far

I'm new to routing, always looked intimidating. I used a round drill bit on about 40ft of handrails on my new deck. After getting the depth on the training sample, the whole process took less than 10 minutes and the cuts were precise and very smooth with no sanding required. That leaves quite a mess, but that's not the bit's fault. Now I want to use my router for everything I own except for a pickup truck. :)

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Fix

All the bearings on mine were rough I found out the first time

I needed a small set of bits for a few small projects but I had to pay attention to some reviews, every bearing in this set feels that way well inside has sand inside, my 1/2 mill bearing flew out, it bounced off the drill and cut my eyebrow and also scratched my glasses so I can't use them safely. You definitely get what you pay for. but to be honest the box isn't bad until you drop it

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Modern

Cheap Chinese beats, period.

These bits will hold a maximum of 2 to 6 linear feet. Then they're dead as a doornail and start burning your firewood. The quarter inch bit lasted 18 inches and then failed completely. The rounded drill lasted six linear feet, after which the wood began to burn. Unless your project is a very, very soft wood like balsa, then look elsewhere. Think about it, if you're paying for a bit that isn't 18 inches long before you need to replace it, that's a consumable.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Many things

Good bits: bit parts and accessories

I used to buy mainly Freud bits, so I was a bit skeptical about buying such a cheap bit set. So far I've used these bits to cut dados in Baltic birch plywood and then bevel and round edges on some hardwood maple. I was impressed with the quality of the cutters. I used them in a low speed Makita LXT router. This is a good starter set. I was planning on replacing them with Freud's bits when they wear out, but I can easily resharpen them. The beats seem intact after the first draft, I look forward

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Not everything fits

Dangerous bits, do not buy!

These bits are extremely dangerous. I've never done a single project that involved just milling a 1/4" bevel on the inside of a white oak frame. The 1/4" straight bit fell off the shank on the first pass. I switched to a straight 1/2" and adjusted the lead to try to finish the project. I finished the first pass but the tip of the blade broke off on the second side. No more. I don't want any more injuries risk they come back I highly recommend no one to use them, although others have had…

Pros
  • Door and Window Bits

metric size: door and window bits

I've only used one of these and it cut wood. The cross section wasn't very good but I think the problem was more with the wood than the bit (TBC). My main issue is that all bits are metric, which isn't exactly what I wanted. There is a photo with bit sizes, although the description specifically mentions English sizes. With some of these bits, size doesn't matter, but with others, like straight-groove bits or dovetail bits, I suspect there will be problems. Anyway, I'll probably leave them…

Pros
  • Power and hand tools
Cons
  • Requires outlet

Great bits, cheap storage box

These bits only arrived today but I've had a chance to try them out. While I can't comment on their durability/reliability yet, these bits appear to be of good quality and work well with my DeWalt 3.0HP router. I work primarily with walnut, which is a fairly dense wood, and these bits cut through boards with no real problems. My only complaint at the moment is that the wooden storage box they arrived in is very flimsy and cheap; my lid was already broken upon arrival (reason for my 4 star…

Pros
  • Bits and accessories
Cons
  • Slightly torn
