Seems a little small

Was hoping it would work but turns out they are a size smaller than they should be. Also remember that these shoes were not purchased from Amazon so the seller will charge you for the return shipping cost and deduct this from the refund. It's disappointing but maybe it's my fault for not reading the return policy carefully and it may have been stated somewhere.

Stiff light shoes. good for athletic

Very stiff shoes without padding is good, but takes some getting used to. The BOA closure is great, after using these shoes I will not buy anything else. They snap on and off easily and tighten securely in small increments. Easily adjustable while driving without stopping. The black version is all black - a unique look. I have about 1000 miles on my pair and they are holding up well. highlighted.

Nice looking shoes but the tongue is really annoying

These shoes are great overall. Nice looks, decent materials, pretty light. However, there are several disadvantages. First, you can't tighten the front: the front strap isn't big enough and the BOA will only tighten at your bridge. Second downside is the tongue, it doesn't latch and slides to the side after 30-40 miles of cycling. I used to have better shoes that didn't need to be adjusted while riding.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for senior

Very good but not perfect. At least for me

I like these shoes. This is my first pair of bikes so I may not be the best person to review this item. I want to share my experience. The forefoot of the shoe feels a bit big compared to the rest of the shoe. The front stato doesn't really do much for you if you're trying to get comfortable. As a result, the toes start to get numb after about 2-3 hours of taking them off. I thought I might have dialed the wrong number but a small pair wouldn't fit.

Really good product for beginners

I don't know much about these shoes so the purchase was a gamble, I didn't even know the brand. I've only ever heard of SHIMANO. I tried to stay in the middle range in terms of quality and these shoes are great. The lacing system is amazing and simple. The kit comes with spikes, I installed them myself, it's easy. The adjustment depends on each person. So far I've only put them on and they work, just a little numbness in my left toe, I think the float in these gray boots allows me to compensate

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • There are flaws

Broke in 11 months: Athletic

So I've been wearing these shoes for less than a year. I ride about 75-150 miles a week, usually 50 miles and the other 10-20 miles. My feet are wide, this was about the fourth pair that fit me. The trailer hitch could be a bit wider. Yesterday the boa's handle just fell apart when I took off my boot. If you look closely, the plastic inside the handle is broken so it can't be repaired. Yesterday I contacted the physicist as the shoes have a 2 year guarantee. but it didn't impress me, I have to…

Questionable seller, good product

This shoe is a good product in its own right. The pair I received had a cleat mount with signs of wear. When I tested it with one of my spike screws, the screw got stuck. I sent the shoes back and Great Lakes Outpost charged a $50 restocking fee for the damaged item. I hope this will be fixed soon. I reordered and got a second pair at full price and the shoes are great. Fit is correct and all gear works great after 4 hours of riding. What I have now are very expensive cheap shoes. For the cost…

Great shoe for the money

I bought these to replace a pair of 17 year old Specialized shoes that I liked but served as Zwift boots and colder weather boots. I recently bought a Fizik R1 Infinito for the road. I paid $278 for them and I have to say they are actually more comfortable. I bought 0.5 EU sizes bigger because I wanted to wear thicker socks on cold days outside. The outsole isn't as stiff as the R1, but unless you're a pro sprinter they should do. The upper is softer than the R1 and the toe box feels larger for

I have the same shoes in the mountain bike version. great item

I actually have the same shoe mountain bike version. I've had this for several years now. On mountain trails, rocks, roots, etc., the mountain version performed very well. The street version is very comfortable on the feet. I usually wear size 11-11.5 shoes and my feet are wide but not very wide. I bought a size 45 which I think is a US size 11.5. They fit like a second skin. Definitely low weight. I love the Boa lacing system. It was absolutely solid on my mountaineering boots and I have no…
