Okay yes they are hard to get to. Just buy a good long shoehorn. Then you will love these comfortable, warm and dry winter MTB boots. Use it for gravel biking and mountain biking. Tried the top Shimano & Sidi. In my usual size 44, they didn't fit and weren't comfortable. You have room for a winter wool sock.

Shoes are just great. I use it for winter rides, but I can easily use it for summer as well. The shoes fit well once you put them on, but can be a bit difficult to put on when they are new. When worn, they are true to size and comfortable. I wrote them in 29 degree snowy weather and they are waterproof but not waterproof. They don't let enough water through though and I would say if you ride in the rain for more than two hours your feet will stay dry.

Seriously, I love them but it takes 20 minutes to forget how annoying it is to wear them. They could have made a loop at the back to make it easier to put on, quite a big mistake. If you get those pickups, the shoehorn too. Shoehorn in the mail. They are perfect for what I was looking for, lined and waterproof. Walking is very easy, even in the snow. Didn't notice the flex soul which I was concerned about since my summer MTB boots are composite and stiff.

You exceeded my expectations. Always play with winter shoes. Some reviews say they are difficult to put on and take off. It's true the fit is snug as it should be, but when the BOA is loose it's not that difficult to get on and off. Have worn them in many PacNW tides and stayed completely dry. They are meant to be breathable, so warm socks or multiple layers of warm socks are required, and moderate to high cadence is part of heat generation. These shoes are not waterproof. The lower part is covered with rubber, but the upper part made of fabric and neoprene is water-permeable. I was able to fix it with a waterproofing spray, but it shouldn't have been necessary. The other problem is that the ankle is incredibly tight and you need a shoehorn to put them on. It is undoubtedly expensive. I think they're worth it if you're committed to cold weather riding. I use them from around 25 to 50F (I just don't ride below 25) on trips up to 45 miles. Success. It's awesome. The boots don't get windy anymore, I've walked through flowing streams and they've stayed completely dry, and the toe box is very roomy so you can put toe warmers in there.
