Description of ๐Ÿ“ธ Enhanced Flip-Pal Mobile Scanner: 4GB SD Card & USB Adapter Included with EasyStitch and StoryScans Talking Images Software

The Flip-Pal mobile scanner is the world's original scanner for photos, large and fragile documents, and cherished memorabilia that does not require a computer to operate. Battery powered and stores files stored on an SD card. Transform images into endearing stories. StoryScans software combines the recorded voice of the storyteller and the scan into a single file that is both small and High Definition. *Download and activation may be required. Keep your memories safe using patented flip-and-scan technology. Fragile documents are treated safely on the flatbed rather than fed through a sheet feeder. Take the lid off, flip the scanner over, and use the window to frame the original. All sizes, small to very large, can be scanned. The included EasyStitch software automatically reassembles multiple scans of larger originals such as portraits, art, documents, and quilts. Small objects such as coins and stamps have high detail. Quick and easy operation. Just 7 seconds to scan 4 x 6" at 300 dpi. Simply turn the power on and press the green scan button. The software is stored on the SD card. Save hours of removing photos from their album. Do your first scan in minutes after opening the box

Not for memory

I loved the concept of this machine but the scanned images are TERRIBLE. In any position, flick with the top and bottom glass and flip the image sideways on the top glass. see for yourself. Not good. I don't know if I would use it now. Pictures. NO.

Nice little scanner

Easy to use with good rendering quality. But two problems with the design. Firstly, either the power button or the scan button needs to be away from each other. It's too easy to accidentally press the power button when you want to press the scan button. Second, I know it needs to be portable, which is great, but it would be nice to be able to plug it into an outlet to save on batteries. I have a lot of photos that aren't in the albums so I just want to sit at my desk and scan, but it drains the

I really like the concept of this device, but I have a .

I can only scan about 5 images with my device before changing the batteries. I contacted the company and they told me to return via Revain. Revain won't let me go back because I bought in July and it's now October. After purchasing this product, I realized I really needed wireless, so I didn't jump right into my scanning projects. I really like the concept of this device, but I received a defective device and the company won't help me with a replacement. This is quite frustrating because Iโ€ฆ

This scanner does exactly what it promises!

What a great scanner! On the first day I scanned 135 photos in less than three hours and took my time. And all this sitting at the kitchen table! The scan corresponds exactly to the original photo. All I've done so far is scan. I'm not sure I'll do anything else with it. Sew, probably a little taller than me. (You're looking at an 86-year-old old lady! Two minor complaints: The batteries that came with it were broken after about a nail breaks. Now I use a strong paperclip to turn the switch onโ€ฆ

Great portable scanner, but there's a problem.

I see this is no longer available from Revain and it's a shame. I compared the quality of the scans from this and my CanoScan 8800F and they are comparable. Fast and qualitative, but with a nuance. The scanner outputs the specified size (5x7 it seems) so you'll have to manually edit the white space. A bit frustrating, but the ease of use and speed of the scanner doesn't make editing that big of a deal for me. Batteries drain fairly quickly, but the auto shutoff saves some power. I scanned 1600โ€ฆ

It's good for what it is. But there are some design flaws.

Like everyone else, I bought this scanner to scan old photos that cannot be deleted from photo albums. Pros: - Very light, easy to carry - The photo quality is satisfactory considering that many of my old photos are 3" x 3". Better than the simple way of using a smartphone. - Easy switch from tablet to ceiling. The scanner was turned on again because the connection in the battery compartment was not tight enough. Eventually, I realized that this "band" was in the wrong place for me. Flip Palโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Almost never

Just got my Flip-Pal and I'm really excited. So much faster than a large scanner and just as good. It doesn't have to be on the table - I can hold it in one hand while scanning - my thumb keeps the lid firmly in place. There is a marked corner on the glass surface to align the photo. Many reviewers have expressed concern that the bottom glass is constantly exposed, leaving fingerprints, dirt, and scratches. The good news, however, is that the bottom glass is NOT involved in the scanningโ€ฆ

Compares to flatbed scanner

Overall rating: 9/10 What I was looking for: I needed a quick and easy way to scan old family photos (both individual and photo albums - over 1000 in total). What I was looking for: 1) Epson Perfection 2450 Photo. This is an old legal flatbed scanner. The quality is excellent.2) Flashpoint 4x6 personal photo scanner. Inexpensive, scans directly to SDCard. However, these scanners are prone to horrible streaking issues that (to me) render the scanning useless. 3) Portable scanner (Prices rangeโ€ฆ
