Great case with some flaws

This is the best case I've ever had to work with. The plastic bottom means Wi-Fi isn't blocked (an issue with all aluminum cases), and that's a big deal. It also keeps the core cool best. Even running LINPACK (same test for TOP500 supercomputers list) it barely reaches 80°C and only starts CPU thermal throttling. It has a few issues: the surface that mates with the processor isn't flat, there's even a shape mark that forms a bubble (see image). Another issue is that the case doesn't actually…

Simple and effective

Most passive heatsinks and armor prefer large pieces of metal, which seems like a good idea as they can absorb a lot of heat. but what happens when the metal around the processor heats up? Oftentimes, heat is dissipated to other parts of the huge heatsink more slowly (unless it has heat pipes) than new heat comes from the processor. Flirc's solution solves this problem: if you touch the processor with a relatively thin layer of metal, the heat is quickly dissipated from the processor, and since

Excellent case, effective cooling.

I've been looking for Raspberry Pi 4 cases for too long because I was worried about heat and throttling. There weren't as many options as with the Pi 3, and I couldn't find many that were easy to build, let alone fanless. Flirc covers speak well for other models and are also popular on the forums. I found a few people testing the Raspberry Pi 4 and getting good temperature results, so I decided to give it a try. Fanless is good for noise and dust, so it's my go-to choice as long as the thermals
