Flowmaster 53056 50 Series Muffler - 3-Inch Inlet, SUV/Performance Vehicle, Center Outlet Review

These were added to the cj5 fenderwell kit to reduce the piercing of the Super40s ears. They have a nice deep tone, not a nasty Super40. I like it.

Doesn't sound that much different than my stock muffler on an Idol or when cruising which is nice. Not as aggressive as I thought it would run under the gas, but it does add a little something so you at least know it's a big truck.

It was the perfect choice. When it was installed and I drove it for the first time, it was like I'd just received that special Christmas present, I was smiling from ear to ear. It has great sound outside and just enough sound to let you know it's there in the car (Expedition for me). My wife isn't annoyed at all which is absolutely amazing, I have to admit I was a bit concerned that "I've done something bad" but guys I think I'm free at home.

Worked great on a new 2016 Ford F150 5.0 V8 that sounded like an old grandpa's Crown Vic. I didn't want to go back yet after spending a bunch of money a few days ago. And now I really don't think I will. I called Flowmaster Tech Support and this was the closest match we found to be the best replacement for my truck's OEM muffler, which is 3.0" at the inlet and 3.0" offset on the same side as the original. Wow! Just what our 2011 Lincoln Navigator needed. We sold our Escalade ESV and bought the Navigator for the roominess and third row legroom.
