Is it "fully " submersible?

At this point the heater has done its job, but there is a minimum and maximum waterline on the heater. So tell me, is it really fully submersible? I don't know and haven't tried it yet. I had several heaters that I kept in swamps and hid in the tank. However, if not, this is no better than a $7 heater you hang from the back of a tank. Come on Fluval, expect more from you.

Excellent 10 Gallon Filter

I installed this heater in my 10 gallon tank to keep the water at 77-80 degrees in my Flagstaff apartment and this little heater does the job perfectly! Very easy to install and the adjustable temperature gauge is pretty accurate. I haven't had any problems so far and I'm a month or two old; I even had the top down for a while and the water temperature stayed pretty constant. This product is highly recommended!

Great but dangerous

Worked great in my 24 gallon aquatop. Small enough to fit in the rear exit area. Maintain a constant temperature in the aquarium. Why 1 star? 1 disk control means nothing. The numbers do not refer to temperature. I set it to 72 to get 76/77 which is what I wanted. 2 - Within two months I noticed the glass tube was cracked and the internal components were rusty. I threw it away. I don't know about you, but I'm not very cool with faulty electrical components in my reef tank.

NOT compatible with Fluval EVO Reef 13.5

This is a quality aquarium heater but in recent years the manufacturer has changed the manufacture and is now a few inches longer. For many aquariums this won't matter, but I bought this specifically for use with the Fluval EVO 13.5 gallon nano reef aquarium because the manufacturer recommends this heater for that aquarium. However, this heater is a few inches taller than it is tall to fit in the third water pump compartment as shown on the packaging and instructions. You can put it in the…

Will not fit 9.5 gallon FLUVAL FLEX Tank

CONS: Purchased for 9.5 gallon Fluval FLEX. It looks like it CAN fit vertically but it is NOT FULLY SUBMERSIBLE so you will need to keep the waterline well below the black dots obscuring the waterline on this tank in order to use the product properly. The purpose of FLEX is to look inside your aquarium without seeing any equipment or piping. The Fluval FLEX 9.5 gallon box recommends this heater and it really doesn't match the aesthetics of this aquarium. PROS: Looks like it will work. better on

Yes, the heater is actually fully submersible. It also works very well.

I have the 200w option for my 54 gallon goldfish tank in the corner. My goal with the heater is to stabilize the water temperature so it doesn't fluctuate, especially during the cold and rainy season. I like to keep it at 72 and my thermometer reads exactly 72. While the temperature setting is fairly accurate, take out a thermometer to really make sure it's set to what you want (tape doesn't count). Sometimes you may need to play around with the dial. When the heater is on, a very faint blue…

One of the best radiators!

I would ignore the fools who lie in their reviews because out of their own ignorance they say their heater is scrap and broken/cracked. I have 27 of these, yes 27, and I haven't had any problems with any of them in the last 4-6 years. The only reason any of them would burst, crack or break would be if the INSTRUCTIONS weren't followed and this heater was turned on when it wasn't submerged deep enough in water. I personally know a few people who forgot to turn off their heaters before doing…
