More upright riding position

If you want a more upright riding position and don't care about the extra weight of a heavy stem, look no further. Easy installation and configuration. I like the fact that there is a hex bolt lock at the bottom of the sliding pivot that prevents accidental movement of the stem if the pivot bolt is not tightened properly. Well designed and worth the $24.99 I paid.

Pros
  • Great value for money
Cons
  • Only available in black

Poor quality control - overspray preventing rotation

I returned one and then received a second one which had the same problem with rotation but had the addition of scratches and was in a bag with sensors/scratches everywhere like pulling it over Concrete. You have to force a screw out of one end to separate the arm and base and scrape off the paint that restricts movement, assemble, test and repeat until the arm is free to rotate - bit of a pain when there are other options , which could be improved . . Once installed it seems to be doing the job

Very strong, durable aluminum and 90 degree angle is the best option

I have used several stem extenders and adjustments on my bikes. This is the most durable. The aluminum is considerably thicker than any others I've used and is very durable. Considering the increase in height, this is important to counteract the possible torque of the extended stem. Mounted 90 degrees vertically, this adjustable brace allows you to achieve much more elevation than the traditional 60 degree angle that most others are limited to, and easily convert a big mountain. Unresolved quality control issues - paint mist preventing matching

This is a great product / if you can make it work. I sent the first one back after not being able to set it up and after sending a query to the seller which I never responded to. The second one I got had the same problem. It didn't spin no matter what I did. Then I read all the reviews and realized that others had the same problem. When two parts are painted during production, the surface to be assembled is painted on the edges and when they are put together they clamp and of course there is no

Some tolerance issues but everything works fine so far

People who complain about weight and thickness don't understand how critical a bike stem is and how critical it will fail if it breaks. The only issue I had with this product, and the reason I didn't give it five stars, was that I had to take a rat's tail file and file the burr on the inside of the mount. In addition, the main bolt holding the two pieces together was very tight and difficult to disassemble or even loosen. I carefully unscrewed the bolt but noticed that a red coating remained on

  • Cool product

  • Slightly torn

A good product. Significant improvement in driving comfort.

This product suits me perfectly! I used to be an avid cyclist, but about ten years ago I started riding less and less. The reason was that my bike was the right size for me; I had a lot of weight on my arms transferred to my wrists, elbows and shoulders. When I was 40 it wasn't a problem, but by 60 the pain and numbness this position caused had seriously ruined what used to be a fun hobby that kept me physically fit. With this product I found my bike again. and I still LOVE cycling! I resisted…

very heavy for cycling

TL;DR = works, but very heavy due to poor workmanship. difficult. It's like they're trying to protect themselves from breakage just in case the tallest people on the planet are able to use the product. Here's a hint - they don't use your product. This is a stem, it should only prevent the handlebars and weight from accidentally pulling on the handlebars when riding or climbing. He doesn't even have to weigh a kilo. It's just shoddy cheap production. Proper pouring could easily drop 4-6 ounces…
