🚗 Ford 8U5Z-17B068-B Fuel Filler Funnel: Efficient White Accessory for Easy Refueling Review

My truck appeared to be missing a capless fill system funnel making it very difficult to fill up IF we are ever stranded. Just for my peace of mind I added this to avoid a potential delay if I ever run out of fuel. After a test filling, the funnel is perfect!

Works. a little smaller in diameter and a little short. but it is an original ford. I use it as a spare in my garage. The original is hidden under the spare wheel in the trunk. hard to get. and easy to break/smash/detach. very expensive, but in my opinion much better quality than cheap copies in the auto parts store. I recommend.

Our 2014 Ford Escape is almost out of gas. hobbled into a small town and found there was no gas station there. Finally there was a man who offered us some gas from a 2 gallon can. Oops. I can't put gas in new tanks without a cap! This fuel funnel is great for adding fuel and/or fuel additives. We will keep it in the car to better prepare for the future.

Funnel works great. I don't think it's worth the money though. I've used other cheap $1 or $2 funnels and none of them open my fuel tank without a lid. Unfortunately I'm stuck with buying this overpriced one, but it does the job. If I ever need to top up my fuel tank, e.g. B. cleaning additives or fuel if I run out of gas. My car is a 2013 Ford Taurus SEL v6.

What can I say about that? Well obviously on some cars size does matter if you have a short fuel gun! Our used Ford Transit didn't have any of these, but my husband said it was absolutely necessary to top up with fuel from a gas cylinder or from some fuel pumps with short nozzles and vapor recovery systems. Works as it should to get fuel in the tank and not on the ground!

As an OEM with my 16' F150. I prefer not to leave the fuel filler neck unused in the truck unless necessary. As a result, there is no smell of gas in the funnel. I keep this extra funnel in a plastic bag on my workbench to add fuel from a portable 5 gallon container every few months to keep the fuel fresh. Easier to access my desk than behind the seat. Ford cars and trucks with capless gas tanks have a known issue. One of the doors/valves/dampers often sticks or sticks, causing many problems. Not only will you have an engine check code for "gross vaporizer leak" (P0455), but you will likely have trouble pumping gas into the tank.
