I am 54 years old and have been using this make and bar number for heavy metal horizontal welding since I was 6 years old. I love the thick beautiful bead that comes out when you look at your puddle and weld at the right speed. Tends to leak at vertical welds, but I know and I take it into account. Unbeatable for a strong, deep horizontal weld. In such cases I prefer it to a wire fed MIG welder when slag is not a problem. For vertical welding I prefer 6011 or MIG.
