It's hardware only, no protection!

It turns out that this hardware is bought only with zero protection, it would require an additional expensive contract for personal protection.

Pros
  • Expensive, but decent
Cons
  • Appearance

Good Soho router, best among routers

Bought to replace a pfsense device. I've been disillusioned with Netgate for a while. A bit of a learning curve with Fortios, but well worth the time investment.

Pros
  • Trial for 1 year
Cons
  • Almost never

Good firewall for computer and accessories

This box has many desirable features and is quite secure. I have the version without wifi. A note for you: to get the most out of its security features, you'll need to purchase an annual subscription for around $300. but for now I think it's worth the investment.

Pros
  • Quick change
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other kits

$300 a year contract? absurd. RUN, DON'T AWAY FROM IT

If you need a good router, get a MicroTik. For $240 with no annual fee, you get a powerful router with all 10G ports. YOU need to buy transceivers or you can get the aRJ45 version for around $500. I recommend the SFP+ version and buy any transceivers. Fiberglass is my choice. , FOR WHAT. Full DOF.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • No Insurance
