Not for bicycles with a rear cluster.

Doesn't fit my bike but that doesn't mean it's a bad product, just doesn't fit my 7 speed. The rod holding the guide at the collar is .350 too short. I think it will work for a fixed single speed bike.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Can't remember

Broken during normal driving

The pin holding it in place was not strong enough and slipped off, breaking the lever holding the guide to the frame. A return cannot be submitted as the 30 day window has been exceeded. Not satisfied in any way. Dissatisfied.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Great value for money in the chainstay.

I bought this to prevent my chain from falling off after converting my MTB from a triple chainring to a single chainring. The width matches the wide range of motion of my new 10 speed rear triangle and set up was super easy with all the adjustability. Overall, a well-made and high-quality chain guide that is worth buying.

Pros
  • Nicely packaged
Cons
  • Trade in

Great but not perfect for my application

Great but not perfect for my application. My bottom bracket is about two inches in front of my seat tube, I have a short chain (for 20 inch bikes), a large sprocket (53 teeth) and an 8 speed derailleur. The combination leaves some drag at extreme chain angles (high and low gears), but I reckon it will last 18 months.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Works well and looks good, but you'll need to glue some joints.

Works great until what many others have said happens. It falls apart after a few descents and tightening doesn't help (I tried ripping off a few bolts). It would be a good design if it didn't have so many moving parts. To fix this I leveled everything on my bike and then permanently fixed the bolts that had come loose on their own with construction glue. Be sure to leave enough unsealed so you can remove the protection later. All in all a good option for those of us who don't have an iscg-5…

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Out of fashion
