Disappointed - Power Tool Parts & Accessories

I really wanted to like this blade but can't give it more than 3 stars. I had a lot of very well seasoned hard maple to rip. I first tried it on my Bosch 4100. I figured the problems I was having were because the motor was too small for a full cut. And while that was probably one of the factors, when I put it on an old Unisaw - 220v, 3hp, other problems remained. The results I got from the Bosch were twofold - sticking, a tendency for the workpiece to rise off the table, rough cut edges, and…

It works wonders even with a weak table saw

Today I had the opportunity to test this blade by buying an old and seasoned Angeline, a very hard wood with a lot of resin, cut through even after 25 years . That. Cutting 11 cm (4 1/2 inches) in just two passes on a 2.25 HP saw: This worked very well! - Of course it would be wise to make more passes, maybe something like 30mm (1 1/4"), but I was looking for extreme conditions and was very surprised to get a clean cut from a 1/8" rupture disc to get! After removing the blade, I had to clean…

Broken Teeth - Blades, Parts & Accessories

When I first used this saw blade I was impressed with its clean cut. Then I realized that he had lost two teeth. I sent it back to replace with a new knife. The new blade lasted several months before I used it. The first time I used a spare blade with two teeth side by side. Unfortunately, Revain has expired. Freud's emails were ignored. These blades were used to split new pine planks. I've been using Freud's blades for years and these are the only ones I've had problems with. UPDATE: I got a…

An excellent standard ground slicing knife at a reasonable price

Excellent knife for your money! The flat top teeth and 1/8 inch cutting width mean you can use it as a poor saw blade and cut both hardwood and softwood effectively. I recently used it with my table saw to cut 3 1/2 inches. chewed deep through the walnut with no problems and the cut surface is really almost clean which is definitely great for a 24T blade. I've also used it for occasional cross cutting when I don't have time or need to change blades, and it handles fairly well with most woods…

Precise and straight cut

I was too lazy to readjust the dies every time I needed flat cuts for dovetail, half lap, tongue and groove, mortise and tenon joints. With this blade on my sawstop site (yes it's compatible) I can cut, cross and make all of the above connections without changing the blade, although I have to make multiple passes. I was concerned it might tear my 3/4 inch plywood, but as you can see from the photos it wasn't a problem. Although they only had 24 teeth, they were sharp, flat and perfect with no…

comes in a plastic bubble bag

Thought of deducting a star for this but the shipping/packaging doesn't really match the product. However, it is worth noting. Plastic bubble wrap. Each tooth chewed lightly on a cardboard Freud card. Luckily none of the teeth were broken and the blade is fine. What can you really say about the saw? , flat head blade if you need this configuration this is a very economical blade compared to the 40 tooth forrest #1 grinding blade. I bought this blade to replace my 40 tooth Forrest blade. There…

Cuts like butter, fits the blades

Last Purchase September 2020: Two years after my first purchase I bought a second LM72R010 to have on hand when I send the first one in for sharpening. Not that it was necessary. After two years of almost daily use, it still works like new. I cleaned it with Sprayway Pitch & Gum Remover but nothing more. Shortly after the previous test I bought a 3 hp crate saw. I use the saw blade for sawing and general carpentry work (due to FTG). I recently cut out some beveled parts of a photo frame and…

Not as good as the old LM72

I've been using Freud products for decades. I bought an LM72R010 to replace an old LM72 that has been sharpened many times but still cuts well. This is a ripping blade for gluing edges. The first thing that struck me was that the new LM72 was burning wood right out of the box. I thought it might be the hickory I was working with, but I noticed that it burns even on pine trees. Thinking my fence or blade wasn't level, I measured to make sure everything was level. I confirmed this by putting on…

Great saw blade for sawing or carpentry work!

I got this blade for several reasons. 1: FTG: This means the teeth are perfectly flat on top leaving a shallow cut. I don't have a grooving blade for a circular saw and wanted a blade that can cut grooves, tongues and laps on a circular saw. I was able to make these connections with my old ATB blade, but there were always small protrusions from the ATB blade at the bottom of the connection. I've just cut some red oak lap joints using this blade and a cross cutting table I made for my table saw,

Pros
