You don't always get what you pay for.

I tried three of these picks with the same result. I use them to glue the plywood to the frame and every time the top bearing pops out. I went to Freud because they must be very well made, but that wasn't my experience.

Pros
  • Perma-Shield for heat protection
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Freud for cutting the upper/lower bearing flush.

I'm starting to experiment with woodworking and bought this nozzle to wash down a shelf I'm building. I used it to cut a piece of maple that was used to cover the edge of a prefabricated plywood. The bat provided a nice smooth finish. I've even used it to make a serrated cut on plywood. All in all a great piece and highly recommended.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Out of fashion

The lower bearing is defective

Received in two days as ordered. Shipping and packaging from Revain was ok. However, the lower bearing exploded and the chisel removed excess material after cutting only about 50 linear feet of MDF. The upper bearing fitted over the failed bearing and I was able to continue working and salvaging the material. Since the paneling was deleted, it was just an inconvenience. If it were a paint and varnish project the whole part would have to be replaced. In the future I'll stick with the Whiteside…

Pros
  • Practical thing
Cons
  • So far so good

Not as best described in Trim

Be careful. This item is described as having a 1/4" shank and is shown as such in the photo but when I ordered it I received it with a 1/2" shank which I cannot use in my Colt. I sent it back and customer service sent what should have been the correct item but it turned out to be the same wrong item. They don't seem to have this with a quarter inch shank. So if you need it, you won't get it. If they change the product description and correctly describe it as having a half inch shank, that…

  • Pleasant
