I had other Forstner parts, but when I was building a sign for a client I needed to drill some precise holes for some of the lights I was installing in the sign. I didn't use this standard 1 1/2 inch Forstner bit. I installed a couple of LVL supports parallel to the existing support to remove the column. Joists together, I had to drive the studs through the drywall to the wood. Not knowing what the best option would be, I bought a 1 1/2" drill bit and a 1 1/2" spade bit and it's a 1 1/2" Forstner bit.
