First bag successful, order more

Just finished my first 50 gallon bag after switching from Instant Ocean. My Zoas exploded in color and size, as did my Duncans. Staghorn has grown slightly 2 inches in the last month. The alcohol of the mixed saltwater rpm was a consistent 8.2-8.5 which is perfect for my system.

Pros
  • Free for Education
Cons
  • Not sure

Great salt but not from this seller on Revain.

Buy this salt for the first time at Revain because the delivery is fast. Too bad my bag was opened with tape on the hole. It's sea salt... you don't want it to be exposed to moisture and moisture before you mix it. That's why it got 1 star from me, otherwise this salt is great, mixes well and always suits me.

Great product but Amazon always damages bags.

Salt is probably one of the best for saltwater aquariums. The problem is that they always get damaged or cut through carelessness on the part of the Amazons. Why even pack an item that loses salt and ship it to us? There is nothing better than knowing that you will open the box and get a big layer of salt all over the floor/room that you have to clean.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Expensive

Mixes quickly and cleans quickly.

I like that it mixes quickly and clear in 5 minutes but the settings below were too low, magnesium and calcium had to be added more each after 24 hours of mixing and running the pump/airstone. Heating at 79 degrees Fahrenheit. After adding supplements, check back 30 minutes later and quickly get them to where I need them and do a water change on my Reef mix. As an aside, my batch was probably old from the 2019/2020 batch label, so I'm guessing the items weren't full strength.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Protection

Great Discovery suitable for aquarium water treatment

I've been using this salt for about two months and am very impressed! I seem to buy a different type of salt (IO, IORS, RED SEA, etc.) every time I buy a new bucket and decided to try this brand. very glad i did! Not only does it mix very quickly and cleanly, it also leaves very little residue in the mixing bucket or on my aquarium equipment. My corals have exploded with growth, more color and even my fish seem to be able to swim more. Overall I think this salt was a secret gold mine and I will

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • No instructions

Works fine but…. suitable for aquarium water treatment

This salt is good and the corals respond relatively well to it, but I have two problems: Alcohol is always very low. And unfortunately this stuff isn't available everywhere and there have been a few instances where it wasn't available so I had to wait for it to show up to do water changes. That being said, I've had to return to Reef Crystals, which gives me the option of having it shipped here or literally picking it up from any pet store if it's not available from Revain. In fact, I get higher

Pros
  • All right!
Cons

good salt. Fades quickly and cleanly

Fritz currently prefers salt for reef aquariums. It mixes very quickly, is clear and has a very constant salinity. I follow her instructions to bring the water up to temperature (78-80 F) before adding the salt. It's easy to calculate - 0.01 pounds per gallon equals 1 ppt salinity. So if you want 35 ppt per 10 gallons = 3.5 pounds of salt (0.01 x 35 x 10). I only notice a bit of brown dirt on the rim of my saltwater mixing bucket when I keep the mixed water in it for a few days, but I like…

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • The list would be long.
