Works great! Rolls out when it rains as written. Along with the included ribbons, I also used a small elastic cord. The bungee cords worked better and made them more reliable on the pipe. The downspout across the path is no more.

We love it! We had a big puddle of water with dogs running around. Now this drainpipe extender allows the drainpipe to drain under our bushes, away from the patio. We have to roll it up after the rain but it's worth it. You just have to be careful that the dogs don't tear.

We had to get it out of the downspout. It kept the rain in our gutter and we were afraid it would collapse the gutter. Things get stuck in small holes and need to be cleaned. We live in Florida and had trouble with a light spring rain. He will never be able to handle the downpour.

The material is pretty good as my only problem with it is that it doesn't always open by itself. If the rain is not too heavy, the water just collects in it. However, in heavy rain the water comes with enough force to open it and then there is no problem. The only downside is that you have to manually drain the water once the rain stops.

I had an extended hard plastic version that got in the way so thought it might be worth a try. The item was easy to install with the included swivel and holes for the perimeter of the spout and the support metal I attached it to. It opens fully when the rain has passed 3 times I tested. As described, it raises automatically but needs to be rolled up manually if you want it to roll between rains. So far it seems great for the price and appears to be durable.
