Totally unexpected. good for lenses

This and the 18-55 xf make a great entry-level travel or zoom kit. Earlier this year I bought pro xf 16-55 and 50-140. Both are admittedly excellent lenses and weather resistant. But they are bigger: wider, longer and heavier. I'm past the age where I have to lug around heavy camera gear on vacation. The reviews for the lighter pair were so good that I took a chance and bought one first and then the second. The speed and quality of these lenses combined with the X-T2 is amazing. I reduced theโ€ฆ

There's nothing fundamental about this lens

Of course this lens can't be 70-200 2.8 like the big boys, but don't let that fool you. Canon 5DMark II. I had an amazing Canon 70-200 F4L and then a Canon 70-200 F2.8L IS v1 and to be honest I don't see any difference in the images with the Fuji 55-200. You are no worse. Do I want a constant aperture? Of course I agree. Do I want it to be 2.8 fast? Yes. But I never wished for such things when I saw the results (paired with the X-T1). If you think about it, just pull the trigger. I don't seeโ€ฆ

Perfect finish for 18-55

First I got an 18-55 whale lens with my X-E3, which I was super super happy with. Great results with this lens. But after a few months of shooting i thought it would be nice to get something with more zoom to cover more angles. Thus the 55-200mm lens was born. I was very happy with the results. Some people claim that when you zoom in, the picture gets softer. It is not true. I've tested it extensively and the zoom lens is very sharp up to 200mm. You just need to know how to use your cameraโ€ฆ

Excellent images and build quality

The 55-200 is a tough and well built lens that also takes great pictures. Used on X-Pro1, X-E2, X-T2. The focus is fast and I rarely find it while hunting. However, these three cameras also represent three different generations of camera processors, so "fast" refers to each body. I really wish it was a weatherproof lens, after all this lens length calls for outdoor use. To be honest, at this price point, I have a hard time figuring out how much more I would be willing to pay for the WRโ€ฆ

Excellent optics and assembly, small "problems ". perfect price

Great lens. Often this lens is compared to Canon's L series lenses, which is totally unfair as L lenses have a constant aperture, much higher build quality and generally better optics. This XT1 lens is just as sharp as the Canon 70-200 f4L at 5 dm3, but its bokeh isn't as nice and its color reproduction is surprisingly good. No "weatherproofing" which means nothing to me personally as I don't shoot in bad weather. For me, the lens performs best at around 95mm, where you get a wide open aperture

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Big and chunky

Updated: 05/03/2015 Well, damn good so far! I've used this lens fairly regularly and it hasn't disappointed me. Yes, he can't focus at times, but hey, so DID 56 1.2, which eventually returned to Revain. It sucks. I've also attached some pictures taken during the holidays; some hand held, some tripod mounted, but you can see the quality and three of them are sold on two different sites. If that says anything. I am very happy with this lens and think I made a good choice of choosing this 55-200โ€ฆ

Great optics! for camera and photo

This is a test of the new Fuji 55-200 for my XE1. Let me start by saying that this is an excellent piece of glass and if you need that kind of focal length then Fuji outperforms the competition in almost every area. Below is a review from someone who has owned a Nikon 70-200 f/2.8 VR I lens since 2005. I also have a 18-55 zoom for my Fuji (slightly better than my old Nikon 17-55 f/2.8 and 16-55). 85 bp). I also use a Fuji 14mm f/2.8 (excellent glass) for my XE1, a Rokinon 8mm Fisheye for theโ€ฆ

A really necessary purchase, glad I found this product.

the lens is contrasting, sharp even at the edge of the frame from the very first f/3.5, f/4.8 aperture, sharpness and color reproduction are immediately impressive. Bokeh is good at 200mm, worse at 55mm. For shooting animals and scenes from afar, in my opinion, it is ideal. Photo examples: https://drive. Google. Com/folderview?id=0B9D5roXTukDcMnVXVjNDN2RKNjQ&usp=sharing Added: after the release of 50-230, xf55-200 lost its meaning. 50-230 is better in weight and picture.

Pros
  • amazing sharpness, contrast, color reproduction, size and weight
Cons
  • price, bokeh at 55 mm

Everything about the purchase suits me, a very necessary product.

I basically bought this lens already when there was 50-230 on the market. Reasons (not least important): 1. Material 2. Place of production 3. Aperture 4. Turn off the stabilizer on the lens 5. Aperture setting ring those. He's more of an "adult" thing. Sample photo, distance about 200m. From hands. Without shamanism in editors. http://s42. Radikal. Ru/i095/1503/a0/8db74db431a8. Jpg

Pros
  • Impressive. Cutting. Minimum distortion.
Cons
  • Price.
