Direct replacement for my TrailStar trailer.

Easy to screw on. Apply some silicone to the inside of the rubber grip to make it easier to turn. Also, don't over-tighten the long screw that holds it to the handle. When you do this, it will deform a little. If you have a long boat and need to pull a lot of straps I would suggest getting a two speed winch.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Interchangeable

A serious mofo winch!

This is a winch beast. Mounted on the trailer of a 20ft bass boat, and this thing doesn't even grunt when it pulls the boat out. I like. shift forward. Neutral. Reverse is not difficult and works perfectly. Fits standard 3 hole trailer posts. Buy it, you will be happy. And NO, I was not paid for this review and I did NOT receive any free products.

Pros
  • Excellent Overall
Cons
  • Not Sure

Well built winches

Instructions are simple. However, the three mounting screws have a toothed lock washer. Do not delete! They bolt on to facilitate positioning and securing the winch to the trailer winch post. You need to insert the screws into the slots on the girl's base, and then install the girl on the rack! The washer keeps the screws from falling out of the slots.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Some problems

Very happy with this purchase!

I bought this and replaced my old handle that came with the trailer. The old handle hit the bow of the boat when it almost reached the top, so I needed a handle with a shorter handle. This one has multiple handle length options that you can adjust. It was pretty easy to install on my boat. I had to drill an extra hole in my pendant to get it to sit flush, but overall pretty easy.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Reliability

Looks great and works perfectly!

I really like it so far. Installation was very easy but my existing bracket only had 2 holes and this winch requires 3. But it was very easy to drill a new hole in minutes. I only used the winch twice to get it out but it was very easy to use. I really like the grip to change the pull, extension or neutral position and the ability to change the grip to 4 different lengths. Also, I think it looks really cool! Overall I think this winch is great!

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

Too high profile for my boat.

I've seen posts on the Ranger forums mentioning that the F2 is now being used on Ranger boats. My current Fulton jack failed so I bought this one. Unfortunately this block is too high and the front of my boat will hit the edge when I drive to the trailer unless I keep the trailer flatter than usual. Then I have to check that. The rest of the winch worked flawlessly. I went to a Ranger dealership to see what they have on their trailers and they have a Fulton F2. But it's completely different and

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Useless features
