I WILL DEFINITELY REPLACE MY OLD PLAYER WITH ANOTHER BRAND. IT WAS NO MANUAL AND I COULDN'T FIND ONE ON THE INTERNET. SO I HAVE NO CHOICE HOW TO SAVE IT TO PLAY MY VHS RECORDINGS. GOODS CONFORM TO THE DESCRIPTION.

Great! Just like the Magnavox I had to replace before. I'm an electronics dumbass. It was a relief to just take the cables from the Magnavox and plug them into the Funai. I still use the Magnavox remote. It replaced my daughters unit she has in her bedroom. She is disabled and buying her a new device and retraining her to use it would be a tall order for me. I definitely recommend this device to everyone. It arrived earlier than expected which was also a pleasant and welcome surprise.

Surprised how well it worked. I bought for a VCR that works very well on playback. DVD works great. I have old VCR tapes that are probably a bit stretched, so there are some tracking issues. Devices have great tracking buttons that make up for this. There was no remote control, so I bought a universal remote with a code for this device. It works with my TV and radio. The remote just turns on the funi combo. The other codes listed may control other functions that I have yet to try. Satisfied…

Well it was a big disappointment. I bought it as a gift and realized too late that it doesn't work well in DVD mode. The drive makes an annoying noise and some DVDs won't play. It's like a time-lapse photo, whether it's a new DVD or an old one. Also, I bought this for an elderly family member and the remote buttons are so small it's almost impossible to see what they are for.
