My Persian cat doesn't like it or use it at all. She's actually a little afraid of it. I don't know how to get my cat to use it and I tried to convince her by playing with the toy and even running my claws over it. But she still doesn't use it. But it was to protect furniture, arrived on time and was exactly as described. Therefore I give 3 stars.

Really for a couch. I thought I'd try the chair. Not a good idea as there is no pillow to put a valve under. We ended up wrapping it around the Ultimate cat scratching post, which is made from worn sisal. There's enough velcro to make it work great there. Our solution was to place a cat scratching post next to the chair wrapped around this sisal. The cats will walk right up to him and leave the chair alone, so it was worth it.

later so I took a chance on getting this because it's hard to control where your cat wants to scratch. I have to say my kitty stopped scratching that side of the couch as soon as I put the covers over it. haha! It doesn't really scratch the thing though. In theory this is a great idea but the product isn't strong enough to last very long with daily use. In less than a month the sisal rope is already breaking out of the edges where it is sewn into the fabric. One of my cats loves it and uses it every day so it really serves to protect my sofa. But I've had it for about 3 1/2 weeks now and it's falling apart. Unfortunately, this isn't a long-term solution, and it's not the best value for money.

The seating position is a little awkward due to the shape of our sofa, but that's my only complaint. Once in place, it fits snugly and stays in place. We have been wearing it for 2 weeks now and the cats use it regularly. That stands up to their efforts and they mostly leave the others alone on the couch. I'm glad we tried it and I've already recommended it to family members. Along with a few pieces of cat scratch furniture tape, it really saves our new furniture.

It came folded so it has creases and the way it sits on my couch looks a little loose but it costs scratches and the gray color perfectly matches the color of the sofa. It does the job and protects that part of the couch and I would buy another one but it doesn't look as good as the stock photo. Note that it only fits on the side specified in the description. It is not interchangeable between left and right side. You have to buy them separately if you want them on both sides of the sofa.

Took me about 5 minutes to assemble the sofa on both sides. It didn't lay entirely flat initially, but we carried some vintage suitcases on it for a few days and it flattened out. Both corners of our tweed sofa were scratched beyond repair and we really didn't want to buy a new sofa. They will cover all the damage and allow us to put off this big purchase for a while!
