Gabriel 49205 Shock Absorber Set - Pack of 2 Review

Put these on a 2002 Grand Marquis. They work great and took the slack out of the rear end. Excellent dampers I would definitely buy again if needed.

These shocks worked great for my application, they are still being adjusted, they make my car handle acceleration much better than my previous replacements.

I've been using hijackers for decades. They always do good service. Of course, removing the top nut from old dampers is always fun. Make sure you plan where to route the ducting and install the air fitting.

Bought these Gabriel Air Shocks a few months ago. They started venting from one day. Checked all connections with soapy water. No leaks were found at 120psi. The next day the air pressure dropped to 100 psi. Within a week, atmospheric pressure drops to 30 pounds per square inch. Not good. You have to pump them up every day when you wear something. The actual problem. I believe the shocks themselves have a slow leak in the pistons or in the trunk. Gabriel and/or the seller have still not…

Update! Today I found a set of air hoses from Gabriel on my doorstep. Finally they came and provided me with spare parts! Although a confirmation from my email telling me what they will do would be nice. Here is my problem. I ordered a Gabriel Hijacker kit for the back of my Ranchero. I only install them to find that in the "T" air fitting the Schrader valve is being pushed so far into the fitting that it will not work. I can't even access it with a remover and corrupted it in the process…
