The original set I bought failed, I lost my receipt.

The original set I bought failed, I lost my receipt and Gabriel does not deal directly with the buyer regarding their lifetime warranty so I had to buy it again.

Pros

Not worth the cheap price

2001 GMC Yukon XL - smaller than the original. Feel worse than the old ones. One shock came with the wrong size washer, so there was no bottom support on the top hub. Just pay for AC Delco Pros.

Pros
  • Excellent construction
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Best value replacement parts

These shocks fit the front of my '02 Chevy Z71. The old shock absorbers were a bit of a hassle to remove. The top nut began to loosen and then got caught on a rusty bolt. A grinder comes out and I lightly cut the nut off. The new mounting bolt was easy to install and comes with a second nut to secure the first. The top mounting bushings were slightly different than the stock bushings, but they seemed to fit well and felt secure once tightened. I had 200,000 on my original shocks so if they last

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Not sure
