This is an inexpensive splitter that works great. (The IR cable could be a bit longer, but it works fine for my use case.) My picture, video and performance are exactly the same as when connected directly with no quality loss. The monitor recognizes the full 4K resolution and switching is instantaneous. I bought two of these TVs for my old Panasonic flat screen TVs. They are very easy to install, which is good as there are few details in the instructions. The device works well. There's no difference in image quality going through the device or direct, which is good. I would recommend buying the device if you need 2 extra HDMI ports. When using the device, my A/V receiver immediately recognized that something was there and sent a signal to the TV. There used to be lag and I had to either unplug HDMI and then plug it back in or cycle devices on and off.
