✨⌨️ Genie Intellicode & Overhead Door ACSCTG Type 1 Garage Door Opener Remote Review

Great buy! I have an old garage knife (1/2 HP model 696CD/B) and this remote works great. It literally took 20 seconds to program the remote control into the garage door opener. Put on the clip and attach it to my car's trunk lid. Did. Spent less than half of what would be spent on the official console.

This single door opener was designed for Genie but says it can work with overhead garage door openers. That's why I bought it from Overhead. Well it doesn't work as advertised. It opens normally from the inside. But outside, while the door is closed, it doesn't open. Apparently the signal is weak to get through the garage door. So I'm a bit disappointed. Maybe it's okay for Gini.

I bought this garage knife to replace an old one of the same model. It works great and is easy to use. Update: I bought this remote in November 2019 and it has worked great for about six months. I was so unsure if this was going to work that well that I stood there like a puppet, constantly opening and closing the garage door. The old Genie remote in my garage stopped working, even with a new battery and trying to reprogram it. I entered the model number on the back of the Revain (ACSCTG Type 3) and it popped up. I was a bit nervous because some reviews had issues, but my programming was a breeze. As the title suggests - This is not a genius item. It works well but comes with very limited instructions just for syncing with the main device. I usually swap out the included battery for the longer life Duracell on items like these, but was surprised at how difficult it was to open the battery cover. .
