I've tried AC voltage and it's mostly accurate. Resistance measurements (ohms) will be violated. It reads the same no matter where I set the dial. Shorting two wires together gives 3, 30 and 300 ohms. It seems very unlikely that this could be all. The dial on the left adjusts it a bit, but it's mostly useless. If you turn off the meter and go back to resistance, you'll get a completely different reading. I'm amazed how the counter can be so inaccurate.

All you need is an easy to use and readable cause and effect gauge. I have better counters, but sometimes you just want it. Started with a discrepancy in the DC volt readings, they're everywhere, even from the DC power supply. The spin wheel now acts up, you have to move it left and right from where you need it and sometimes push the wheel up and down to make it work. Good price for what it is, just don't expect it to last long or exactly all the time. I will try another brand.

I was looking for an analog gauge with a 1X range setting to check the resistance tolerances of sport fencing equipment - plates, mask breastplates, saber masks, glove cuffs and cords.
