Great All Weather Mount

Works Amazing I made a custom mount that attaches directly to my motorcycle's dashboard. The bike has ridden miles off-road since installation and the hand unit stays securely in place with no movement or vibration. I washed the bike and rode it in the rain, the water doesn't flow.

Buy a few, you'll use them all the time.

The absolute best way to keep your Garmin Inreach device handy and charged. The best thing about this unit is that it uses the amp mounting system for many mounting options, but also charges with external pins so you don't have to open the rubber grommet which can cause water damage. We have a mount in our trucks, boats and any other vehicle that we need to use our range extender device.

This is a great mount good fit and security

This is a great mount good fit and strong! There is a star deduction for the fixed USB cable. I would like to be able to replace it with one of my options. I installed the device in the back of my Oliver motorhome near the beds, within range, and the signals go through the fiber optic roof as if it weren't there. I used a USB charger and installed this unit behind a closet. The powered mount looks great there, I can see it almost everywhere, and it will always be handy and fully charged. Highly

The mount is excellent, no modifications needed.

This is exactly what I needed. I use my car to reach remote places. I plug the device in and it keeps charging remotely and tracking my location. When I arrive at my destination, I pull out the extension cable and attach the carabiner. This is not a problem as it only takes about 2 seconds. Then I walk and set up camp away from the car. When I come back, I just put it back in the holder. When I stop wandering and come back and go again, I don't bother removing the clip to reinstall the device…

The power supply is unstable.

I use this mount for my inReach when I ride my Dual Sport off-road. It has a few significant downsides. First, it's not waterproof. Contacts must not get wet. This is a serious problem for something chained to handlebars with no weather protection. This begs the question, what good are exposed charging contacts on an external device if they cannot be used to charge the device in inclement weather via the device's factory charging cradle. Second, even if left dry, the contacts do not make…

Some Limitations/Considerations Before Purchasing

Some LIMITATIONS to consider before purchasing this mount for the InReach Explorer. I assume that this also applies to the SE+ model. I returned the mount due to these limitations.1. The InReach device does not fit into a mount with the carabiner attached. While disappointing, this is not a deal breaker. The mount uses the same "snap" function as the included carabiner, so it must be removed or the device will not fit in the mount. I personally think this is a design oversight - the InReach is…
