Fits perfectly into marine electronics setup

Using this splitter, our team found that it flawlessly integrated into our existing marine electronics and provided worry-free AIS transmission. The compact size allowed for easy installation and saved valuable space on the boat .The only downside we experienced was the slightly higher price compared to other options on the market. Overall, a fantastic investment for any avid boater..

Pros
  • Allows AIS and VHF radio to share a single antenna, saving space and reducing installation costs.
Cons
  • Style 90

Easy install, at least in my situation

Luckily for me I was able to mount it overhead in the top FM bay on our Grady 306 Canyon. I had a NMEA 2000 port just above the unit. The VHF is a foot from the AIS and about 3 feet from the fuse box so I was very lucky. It has GPS built in so I guess given the location I don't need GPS but again given its location it would be an easy setup. After connecting, it automatically connected to my chartplotters and showed the reception of other ships. Luckily I had another boat with AIS so I could…

Pros
  • Class B NMEA 2000
Cons
  • There are new competitors
